Let’s see how it goes shall we?
I stared at the text, repeating the words over and over in my head. My heart was pounding and I couldn’t think of anything to write back. I felt my face getting hot and I know without a doubt this text was upsetting me. I huffed heavily and lean back into the chair and looked around the dressing room I was hiding in. This was not something I wanted to deal with or even think about. I was about to put my phone away when the door to the dressing room swung open. I threw my phone on the ground and looked to the door. But it was only my good friend Ava, I sighed in relief and picked up my phone.
“How many times do you think your going to be able to use that I left my phone in the dressing room act?” Ava said smirking at me.
I pushed myself up off the seat, “Idk I’m hoping forever” I said playfully pushing her and walking toward the front of the store.
“How’d it go in the old hid out anyway? You look upset” She asked following me with clothes in the her hands to put away.
“He texted me” I sighed leaning against the counter watching her hang clothes.
“He did what?” She asked in disbelief almost yelling. She clutched the clothes in her hand and walked toward me. I sighed again and walked behind the counter. I bit my lip as I stared at her, not knowing if I should tell her or not. “Hola, earth to Mia” she said dropping all the clothes in the counter.
“He said or well asked me to come the the stadium to talk with him” I said looking down, apart of me hated him and never wanted to see him again but apart of me wanted to know why out of the blue did he want to talk now? I know I was the one to end it and with damn good reason, he only try to make it up for about a month and stop calling.
“And what the hell would he have to say? Está loco. Está fuera de su mente” (He is crazy. He is out if his mind) She said shaking her short hair.
“He wants me to meet him after the match in few hours”
“And what, you want to go?” she asked.
“Idk, but apart of me feels I should and the other part want to punch his face in, Thats what I’ll do I’ll go and punch his face in” I said trying to laugh it off. But Ava didn’t laugh she looked at me all worried and I hated that look.
“Por favor no me mires así” I said getting up and looking for something cute to wear to the match, when going to confront you ex you need to look good right? “Will you come with me? I’m sure I can get two tickets from him” I asked with pledging eyes.
“Would I ever turn down free tickets to watch a match?” She asked. I laughed she was right she did love free things. We work for another hour until our last minute coverage came in.
The night outside in Barcelona was cool as we walked toward our seats in the very front row. My favorite seats in the house, I love all the action. He was really trying hard to impress me. Within minutes the players were stretching and out on the pitch. I had to take a deep breath as I seen the back of his jersey. I wanted to change my mind so I watched Dani and some others warm up and joke around with each other. The match was fun and exciting like old times. New comer Neymar had scored the only goal with 1-0. I grabbed Ava’s hand and headed toward the dressing room from the VIP entrance. But security had stopped me. I eyed him.
“Disculpa” I said looking at the tall man.
“Necesito ver tus etiquetas” he said not backing down either. I reached into my bag and pulled out both or tags. He looked over the tags and was starting to get on my nerves, I was already nervous about seeing someone I wasn’t to found of right. “Quién es Mia?” he asked handing me back both tags.
“Por qué?” I asked, I’ve never waited this long to get into the players hall. He chuckled, “Usted debe ser” He said “Usted es el único autorizado para entrar” he looked at Ava.
“Whatever I don’t want to go back there anyway” She said rolling her eyes, she turned to me “I’ll be waiting by the VIP exit for you Mia”. I bit my lip not really wanting to do this alone, “Ok” I said as I gave her hand a quick squeeze. “You’ll be fine” She said before walking off. The security guard moved to the side and pushed the door open for me. I pushed past him and entered the players hall that lead to the dressing rooms and out to the players parking lot. Today I was heading toward the players locker room like I had done many times before, this time not happy about seeing the person I came to see.
